PROFILE

I have been training for 2 years and although I have trained hard and kept to a strict nutritional regime, I was struggling to achieve the shape I desired.

I was consuming good quality foods and supplements and my training programme was solid. However I lacked the knowledge of calories and their importance when controlling weight and body shape. I consulted the guys from the Sun Diet, who enjoyed reviewing my diet and training. The guy's knowledge and teaching enabled me to succeed in my goal of reaching a lean and muscular physique.

Since undertaking the Sun Diet I have realised that controlling one's calorie intake is fundamental to maintaining a certain body weight. Furthermore, as well as achieving the shape and look I was after, I gained further knowledge allowing me to reach the required shape/weight relevant to my training goals.

When undertaking a fat loss diet such as the Sun Diet I will consume calories lower than my maintenance requirements and perform a higher level of CV activity. As for weight training, I usually follow a programme of 2 day on and 1 day off; the day off I will use for extra CV workouts.

Once completing a fat loss programme I often decide to change my goals. I change my training goals from fat loss to gaining muscle size and strength. In order to achieve these goals I have to follow a different nutritional programme as my body will require calories above maintenance level to support muscle growth and recovery. Consuming higher calories than maintenance level will put me at greater risk of storing extra body fat. However the Sun Diet has enabled me to understand how to manipulate my diet and calorie intake to allow size and strength gains while keeping body fat storage minimal.

By completing the Sun Diet programme I have found my body looking better than before and I have been able to improve my workouts, leading to better results. Mot only am I in better condition tan before, I have more importantly gained the knowledge and skills required to tailor my diet around my training goals. Whereas previous I lacked the information needed to ensure I had the ability to achieve my goals.
