The latest news from 24HRGYM

Happy new year to all of our members and newsletter subscribers!! Thank you for all your support over the past year. We are planning a busy year ahead and we have lots of new “stuff” going on…

SWINDON 105.5 FM

Swindon 105.5FM is the community Radio Station for Swindon. Host Ian Pugh invited the owner of 24HRGYM, Vernon Montgomery, to join his show once a week to help promote a healthy life style for the people of Swindon. We have already had a few guest appearances from the sports personalities of 24HRGYM and we are continuing with Vern and international model Waz Ashayer on Friday 16th January at 11:30am.

Friday 23rd January we have gym sponsored Jamie Cox with Vern and Ian Pugh in an interview on 105.5FM at 11:30am. As Jamie prepares to retain his unbeaten record in his 10th professional fight against Isacc Quartey at the Oasis leisure centre in Swindon, which will be live on Sky Sports.

TEACHING CALORIES TO CHILDREN

24HRGYM’s calorie teachers Vincent and Vernon Montgomery were invited to join Swindon Conservative Councillors to discuss in the local schools the health concerns about childrens’ obesity. The conclusion from both 24HRGYM Team and the Conservative Councillors is that the best way forward is to teach the children how to understand and control calories starting with primary and secondary schools.

NUTRITION AND TRAINING SEMINARS

Have you ever wondered why things just aren’t quite going the way you hoped? With all the effort you put into your training, haven’t changed shape, whether you want to build muscle or lose weight. We will be arranging nutritional and training seminars for our members. This is to help guide them in the right direction of “dieting” and training, as there are so many different ideas and opinions of whats right and whats wrong. Most people will hear a rumour on the gym floor, read a magazine, see someone else doing it, or listen to a friend who knows someone who knows, or simply guess!! We have over 25 years of experience in creating these training methods and they do work. We provide you with the tools but you have to be prepared to do the work! Please look out on our notice boards for the date of the first training seminar over the next couple of weeks.

Best wishes

The 24HRGYM team
