Chloe Barnes : About Have-A-Heart in aid of Children’s Hospice
I first became aware of the 'Have a Heart Foundation' around 5 years ago when a little girl in my family was diagnosed with cancer, she tragically lost her struggle two years ago but the work the foundation did for her and the family will never be forgotten.
The foundations do not only work with the terminally ill children to ensure they remain as happy and comfortable as possible throughout their ordeal, but they also support the families. Things as small as making sure siblings do not feel their needs are secondary to things as huge as providing the equipment to allow the families to take their children home for their final days. The work the foundation does is vital and the support they provide even after the tragic loss of a child is magnificent.
Have a Heart work with hospices in our local community and I will be walking the Great Wall of China in October to raise as much money for this worthy cause as possible. The money raised from this fundraiser will play a huge part in the final donation made to the foundation, so I thank you in advance for your support.

Yasmine Paymani : Zambian Gems
My personal involvement with the charity, Zambian Gems, began in 2008 when I visited the underdeveloped compound, Chibolya, which then, was an area with one ‘school’ that consisted of a room and blackboard, accommodating over 200 children. The money raised by Zambian Gems changed this to what is now a real establishment, The Blessed Vale School, providing the children with school uniform, stationary, desks and another classroom.
This charity is important to me as I witnessed the transformation therefore I am certain that the money raised from the fundraiser will make an enormous positive change. Specifically, the money raised will be used to further extend this school, allowing more children to be educated, which is vital for the development of their community, as the children will hopefully be able to seek further education elsewhere, and in turn return to Chibolya to pass their knowledge onto the next generation.
