TODAY'S MODERN DIET
Today's Modern diet habits are equal to modern methods of treating disease.
So-called alternative medicine/nutrition has a far longer history than modern drugs from companies who are only interested in 'business first'. Nutrition is also business first and the well-being of the customer comes second. In the United Kingdom sugar manufactures have an estimated sale of 2lbs of sugar per person. That's 120 million lbs a year of empty calories, sweets etc and also the alcohol industry with its quotas which are also entering the human food chain. Then we have the NHS trying to treat the effects of all this sugar consumption only to be met by resistance to their efforts from the drug Corporations. Even if you visit the nutrition sites on the Web the diet drug companies display their own offers on the screen, there-by providing consumers with an even easier excuse to continue with their bad diet.
It needs someone with specialised knowledge to work out the average intake of hydrogenated fat (which is "vegetable oil" etc as far as restaurants are concerned). Also, saturated fats, sugar supplies, and alcohol supplies, which find their way into the human food chain, then convert these items into calories!!
Of course it is unlikely to be the WHO (World Health Organisation) as their research is funded by ....you guessed it...the food manufacturers who pay for the tests (unbiased of course). Result....there is no such thing as bad food ONLY a bad diet (onus back to the customer) Then, taking the average (2000) calorie per day intake, per person, of the public. A fair percentage, it could be estimated, would be unaware of the health benefits of a completely nutritious diet. Or be aware that a poor diet eventually affects the overall health of the body. Causing, amongst other things - obesity, diabetes, colon cancer, IBS and that's with-out counting mental disorders and alcohol problems etc.
The disease Beri Beri, resulted in the stunted growth of most of the Chinese population, the effect of which can still be seen today. During this outbreak millions of people died. So what are the effects of sugar and fat on today's people? (Beri Beri occurred because the population were taking natural brown rice and bleaching it white. It is only snobbery that says purity is white. This action robbed the rice of its Thiamin B Vitamin. Now the brown rice is par-boiled to allow some of the Thiamin to remain. Even using alternative hypnotherapy practices, the body will still influence the mind if the diet is high in fat and sugar, no matter how much you like to think you are well and healed.
If you want a few mathematics (conscious thinking): Two pounds of sugar is 950 grams. 1OO grams contains 4OO calories which amounts to 38OO calories per week. If there are 35OO calories in one pound of saturated fat then the end result is a bad diet that also makes people fat and overweight.
At the end of all the treatments given to make up for a bad diet, whether they are in the form of mental treatments, e.g. (hypnotherapy), Government approved treatments, or from General Practitioners. In the end who is helping who? If the WHO (World Health Organisation) can't help either then there is only your own insight left to work out what the best foods are for you to consume. Those clever Egyptians left enough knowledge for us to be able to work it out, but we need to know more on how to put the knowledge into practice. After all, we do *KNOW* we should eat better (wink).
Good health
